Apple AirPods Max

I use these every single day across my iPhone, MacBook, and iPad and the seamless device switching is something I didn't know I needed until I had it. The audio quality is the best I've heard from wireless headphones — the Spatial Audio on Apple TV+ is genuinely cinematic. Yes they're heavy and yes the case is absurd, but the overall experience in the Apple world is unmatched. I'd buy them again without hesitation if you're an Apple household.

I own the Sony XM5, Bose QC Ultra, and now these — and I have to say, the AirPods Max don't justify the price differential unless you're fully committed to Apple. The sound is excellent, no question, but the Sony matches or beats it depending on genre. The ANC is good but not markedly better than the competition. The case is an embarrassment for a $550 product. If Apple integration is everything to you, fine. Otherwise the value proposition just isn't there.

My whole family uses Apple products and these headphones integrate so naturally it feels like magic. I put them on and my iPhone audio immediately transfers without pressing anything. The sound is warm, rich, and detailed without being fatiguing. They are heavy — I notice it after about two hours — but the comfort is otherwise really good. I don't regret the purchase at all, though I understand why non-Apple users would be frustrated by the price for what they get.
