60 hours of battery changed how I travel forever

Pros

  • +Battery life is genuinely transformative for travel
  • +Sound is warm, detailed, and non-fatiguing
  • +Folds flat — actually fits in my bag easily

Cons

  • -ANC not best-in-class
  • -Looks basic for the price

I do long-haul flights 8-10 times per year and battery anxiety was real with my old Sony XM4. With the Momentum 4, I leave for a two-week trip, use these every single day, and come home with battery still left. That's not an exaggeration. The sound quality is excellent — Sennheiser's tuning is neutral without being clinical and I find it non-fatiguing over 10+ hour days. The ANC is good but won't block an aircraft engine as well as the Bose. For the battery alone though, these earn 5 stars.

Best sound quality in the category, ANC is the tradeoff

Pros

  • +Soundstage width is exceptional for wireless headphones
  • +Midrange detail is outstanding
  • +Comfortable for hours without fatigue

Cons

  • -ANC clearly a step below Sony and Bose
  • -Plasticky feel

I am primarily a listener, not a commuter, and for pure music enjoyment these are the best wireless headphones I've used under $400. The soundstage is unusually wide for a closed-back design and the midrange is just beautifully rendered — vocals and acoustic instruments sound incredibly natural. The bass is present but not overwhelming. My only hesitation in recommending these is the ANC. In my open-plan office, I can still hear conversations clearly with ANC maxed out. If ANC is important to you, the Sony or Bose are better. If sound quality is your priority, nothing beats this.

Underrated — more people should know about these

Pros

  • +Sound is noticeably better than my old Beats
  • +Battery lasts forever
  • +Easy pairing

Cons

  • -App took some figuring out
  • -Doesn't look flashy

I switched from Beats Studio Pro and the difference in sound quality was immediate and striking. Everything just sounds more real and less processed. I don't understand all the audiophile terms but I can hear that these are better. The battery is insane — I charged them three weeks ago and they're still at 40%. I think these get overlooked because they don't have the brand recognition of Sony, Bose, or Apple, which is a shame because the sound per dollar is exceptional.
