Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra

After trying three different robot vacuums over the years, the S8 MaxV is the first one that I can truly set and forget. The navigation is incredible — it maps my entire 2000sqft home perfectly and never gets stuck. The mopping is a game changer; it's not as good as manual mopping but it keeps the floors fresh between deep cleans. My only complaints are the dock size (it's massive) and the app has way too many options. But the cleaning performance? Unmatched.

I've owned 5 robot vacuums and this is objectively the best one. But it's not perfect. The round design means it consistently misses about 5mm along walls and can't reach corners at all. If you have dark baseboards, you'll notice. The mop pads also wear out faster than I expected — about every 2 months with daily use. And I've had the dock leak water twice. That said, mid-room cleaning is phenomenal and it handles my two golden retrievers' hair like a champ.

I live in a 600sqft studio apartment and honestly, this is way too much robot for my space. The dock takes up a whole corner of my kitchen. I use maybe 20% of the features. It cleans great, no doubt, but I could've gotten the same results with a $400 robot vacuum. If you have a big house, I'm sure this is amazing. For small apartments, save your money.
