Recurring Issues

Common problems reported by multiple verified buyers

Suction Underperformance

45 mentions

Buyers upgrading from budget robots often feel underwhelmed by the cleaning performance relative to the price. Side-by-side tests show competitors like Roborock provide significantly stronger suction for less money.

SmartThings Connectivity Bugs

31 mentions

Integration with SmartThings works well natively, but pairing with Google Home or Alexa via SmartThings can be unreliable. Samsung's updates sometimes break automations temporarily.

Proprietary Handheld Requirement

24 mentions

The Clean Station's charging dock only works with Samsung's Jet line of handheld vacuums. Buyers who don't own one don't benefit from a key selling point.

Perfect fit for our Samsung smart home setup

Pros

  • +SmartThings integration is seamless
  • +Design looks great in the home
  • +AI obstacle avoidance is impressive

Cons

  • -Suction could be stronger
  • -No mopping

We have a Samsung smart home — Family Hub fridge, SmartThings hub, the whole setup. The Jet Bot AI+ fits perfectly. Setting up automations was straightforward and it works flawlessly with our other devices. The AI obstacle recognition is impressive; it correctly navigated around our kids' toys, power cords, and even a pair of shoes. The cleaning is good but not class-leading on suction. For the ecosystem integration and design, we'd buy it again.

Nice vacuum, overpriced for the suction power

Verified
By Mike T.Owned 3 monthsexpert user2025-11-30

Pros

  • +AI recognition works well
  • +Good build quality
  • +LiDAR navigation accurate

Cons

  • -Suction is weak for $900
  • -No mopping at all
  • -Roborock Q8 costs $400 less and cleans better

I've tested seven robot vacuums in the past two years and the Samsung Jet Bot AI+ is a frustrating product. The technology is genuinely impressive — the AI can tell the difference between a sock and a power cord. But when it comes to actually vacuuming, a $300 Roborock leaves it in the dust (pun intended). After three months I ended up returning it and buying a Roborock Q8 for $450 less. The Samsung is a tech showcase that happens to vacuum, not a vacuum first.

The handheld charging dock is a genuinely clever idea

Verified
By Olivia P.Owned 4 monthsbeginner user2026-01-25

Pros

  • +Handheld vacuum always charged and ready
  • +Looks stylish in entryway
  • +Easy to use

Cons

  • -Had to buy the Samsung handheld separately
  • -Not the strongest suction

The concept of having your robot vacuum dock also charge your handheld vacuum is genuinely clever and I use both regularly now. I didn't own a Samsung handheld when I bought this, so I had to purchase one separately — that was a surprise cost. The robot keeps the floors clean on a schedule and the handheld is always ready for spot cleaning. The robot suction is fine, not amazing. If Samsung added mopping, this would be close to perfect.
