Recurring Issues

Common problems reported by multiple verified buyers

Accidental Touch Activation

43 mentions

The touch controls are highly sensitive, which leads to accidental pauses, skips, and volume changes when adjusting the fit or when the earbuds rub against hair or collars. Sensitivity can be reduced in the app but with tradeoffs in responsiveness.

ANC Performance Gap

51 mentions

While the ANC works well at this price tier, direct comparisons to Bose QC Ultra or Sony XM5 reveal a significant performance gap in loud environments like subway trains or aircraft. Best suited for office/cafe use rather than heavy commuter noise.

Stem Durability

19 mentions

A small number of users report micro-fractures in the transparent stem casing after drops. The transparent aesthetic is stunning but the polycarbonate shows stress damage more visibly than opaque competitors.

Sounds amazing and looks unlike anything else

Pros

  • +Sound quality stunning for the price
  • +Transparent design gets constant compliments
  • +LHDC codec genuinely sounds better

Cons

  • -Touch controls too sensitive
  • -ANC won't block loud subway

Eight months in and these are still my daily drivers. The transparent design never gets old — I get asked about them regularly. But more importantly, the sound is the best I've heard under $200. With LHDC enabled on my OnePlus phone, hi-res Tidal tracks are genuinely impressive with real spatial detail. The ANC works great in my office and on buses. It won't compete with Bose on a noisy subway, but at $130, the value is extraordinary.

Great mid-range choice but touch controls need work

Verified

Pros

  • +Sound quality better than expected
  • +Comfortable and lightweight
  • +Good battery life

Cons

  • -Touch controls activate by accident daily
  • -ANC okay but not impressive

The sound quality and design made these an easy purchase at $135. In five months the only consistent frustration is the touch controls — I accidentally pause my music or skip tracks probably once or twice a day from incidental contact. I've reduced the sensitivity in the app to medium, which helps but the problem isn't fully solved. On balance, the audio quality and price make it worth tolerating. I've heard friends' Sony XM5s and yes the ANC is better, but not $150 better.

The ANC disappointed me on daily train commutes

Verified
By Sam R.Owned 3 monthsintermediate user2025-12-30

Pros

  • +Beautiful design
  • +Good sound quality
  • +Hi-Res Audio support is genuine

Cons

  • -ANC insufficient for train commute
  • -Expected more for the hype

I bought these primarily for my 45-minute train commute. The design is beautiful and the sound quality is genuinely excellent. But the ANC on a loud commuter train is simply not enough. I can hear passengers' conversations and the track noise. At max ANC it's better but still intrusive. My old Sony WF-1000XM3 from 2019 blocked more train noise than these 2023 earbuds. For office and casual use they're great. For noisy transit, the ANC ceiling is too low for my needs.
